Summer 2007 Accomplishments
Kathleen Hersey represented the United States Swim Team in the 2007 Pan American Games that were held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ms. Hersey competed in the 100 and 200 meter butterfly, the 400 meter individual medley and the 4 x 100 meter medley relay. She won FOUR GOLD MEDALS and set THREE PAN-AM GAMES RECORDS. Then after being home just one week, Kathleen traveled to Indianapolis to compete in the United States Swimming National Championships. Ms. Hersey continued her unbelievable summer run by winning the 200 meter butterfly and placed in the top four in three other events.

Member of the Marist Girl's Swim and Dive team that won the 2007 Georgia State High School Championship.
State record 200 yard individual medley.
State record 100 yard butterfly.
200 meter butterfly - holds the third fastest time ever by an American woman and the 11th fastest in the world.
